R. Michael Alvarez is professor of political science at Caltech, and the co-director of the Caltech/MIT Voting Technology Project. He is a co-editor of the journal Political Analysis, an editor of Analytical Methods for Social Research, and a co-editor of the Cambridge University Press Element, Quantitative and Computational Methods for Social Science.
