Angela Wright is Professor of Romantic Literature at the University of Sheffield. A former co-president of the International Gothic Association, she has published widely upon Gothic during the Romantic period, including her monograph Britain, France and the Gothic, 1764-1820: The Import of Terror (Cambridge University Press, 2013). She is one of the general co-editors of the forthcoming Cambridge History of the Gothic (with Dale Townshend and Catherine Spooner), and with Michael Gamer, she is currently working on the first full edition of the Complete Works of Ann Radcliffe for Cambridge University Press.
