Quentin Skinner is the author of Liberty before Liberalism (2012), Hobbes and Republican Liberty (2008), Visions of Politics (2002), Reason and Rhetoric in the Philosophy of Hobbes (1997), and The Foundations of Modern Political Thought (1978). He is one of the leading historians in the world, a Regius Professor of Modern History at the University of Cambridge, and a Fellow of Christ's College.
